BRUNO MARS BECOMES FIRST ARTIST WITH 5 RIAA DIAMOND SINGLES

Bruno Mars makes history.

The superstar has become the first artist ever to earn five RIAA diamond-certified singles. “That’s What I Like” and “When I Was Your Man” have both been certified diamond, with over 10 million copies, joining “Just the Way You Are, “Grenade,” and “Uptown Funk!” with Mark Ronson.

Additionally, “Just the Way You Are” is 12x multi-platinum, “Uptown Funk!” and “When I Was Your Man” are 11x multi-platinum, and “Grenade” and “That’s What I Like” are 10x multi-platinum.

“Congratulations to Bruno Mars—the first artist with five Diamond Single Awards in the history of RIAA’s Gold and Platinum Program! This milestone is a testament to Bruno’s unstoppable creative genius and the incredible partnership he has built with the team at Atlantic Records,” said Mitch Glazier, Chairman and CEO, Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). “What Bruno

accomplished is just extraordinary. Fewer than 60 Diamond Single Awards have ever been awarded—and Bruno now has five of them!”

Bruno celebrated by thanking his fans. “Love you Hooligans. Thanks for rockin with me throughout this incredible journey. We’ve only just begun,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, he and Anderson .Paak have the No. 1 song in the country with Silk Sonic’s “Leave the Door Open,” which returns to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a second week.
