Upcoming artistes not ready to serve – Kofi Kinaata

Former High Grade Family signed artiste, Kofi Kinaata says he will not sign any upcoming artiste because they are not ready to serve as he did while taking off in his music journey.

According to him, with the history available on what happened when other artistes signed up upcoming artistes, he is demotivated to sign any artiste.

Kofi Kinaata made this known when he was speaking in an interview with TV3 monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

He said, “with what I see around, I’m not encouraged to sign any artiste because if you do, now Ghanaians will say you are sitting on his shine, or you want to tap into their fanbase”.

Kofi Kinaata also added that apart from the history, most upcoming artistes are not ready to serve.

He recalled serving as the younger artiste at the High Grade Family while he was a member of the record label; something an upcoming artiste today will not do.

To cap it up, he noted that when artistes are signed, Ghanaians will start pumping ideas into their heads on the need to be given some big things like a car when they were walking before they were signed so to avoid such pressure on him, he will never sign any artiste.
