You need to be wise – Okraku-Mantey advises artistes

President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku-Mantey, has advised artistes to be wise in the industry if they want to be successful people.

According to Mr Okraku-Mantey, artistes should look beyond the surface, think deeper and establish their brands while building their domestic market.

“You do not need to be a graduate to be successful, you just need wisdom, it takes a degree of wisdom to be successful in the music or arts industry,” he said.

He said this when reacting to Sarkodie’s Best International Flow Award on Hitz FM’s Daybreak. He said the rapper got his awards because of his huge fan base and an active social media platform.

He added that Sarkodie and Rex Omar are still relevant in the industry because they are “sharp” and advised fellow artistes to emulate their ways.
