In the quest to have a clean Ghana free of indiscriminate rubbish spillage for the purposes of a healthy nation, Ghanaian musician and broadcaster Togbe Ghana has launched the “Let’s Go Clean the Beach” campaign project.
“Let’s Go Clean the Beach” is an initiative that seeks to sanitize the beaches in the various communities along the coast in Accra.
The project is designed to improve waste collection and waste management activities in the area.
Secondly, it aims at improving the sanitation conditions at the beaches and providing waste dustbin at these shorelines so that filth can be significantly reduced.
Togbe Ghana’s program has been geared towards also advocating for the enforcement of the environmental laws in operation along the shorelines.
“Let’s Go Clean the Beach” a community-based project is a periodic event slated at various times in the year and this July, Togbe Ghana together with some members and executives of Musiga accompanied by residents in Accra will storm the Accra Borla beach to clean up the beach.
Togbe Ghana has extended an invitation to the Minister of Sanitation, the Minister of Environment and the Mayor of Accra.
Togbe Ghana called on all churches, schools and Ghanaians to join hands in the “Let’s Go Clean the Beach” project.
The next cleaning exercise takes place at the Accra Borla Beach on July 28 at 8am.
He called on the benevolence of NGOs and volunteers to support in cash or kind in making this project a lasting and successful one.
