Ghanaian dancehall artist Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey popularly known as Kaakie has fired shots at controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale for bringing over 30 minutes halt to the VGMA’s which happened today.
Shatta Wale started causing commotion on stage when Stonebwoy received his award for Reggae Dancehall Artist of the year and was about to give his message for the award he had won.
This even brought a halt in transmission and also the event as a whole to the extent of policemen introducing tear gas to help restore peace in the atmosphere.
Kaakie who once got entangled in Shatta Wale’s nest for winning the same award 7 years ago an after all the initial threat, Shatta Wale repeated the same action at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when Stonebwoy won that title for the fifth time.
According to Shatta Wale, he went up the stage to congratulate Stonebwoy but he took it the wrong way and pulled out a gun.
Well, Kaakie has jumped to the defence of Stonebwoy stating that the ‘My Level’ hitmaker is a ‘jerk’ who has to work hard to earn that title if he feels he deserves it.
Kaakie in a short video recalled how Shatta Wale nearly attacked her on stage in 2012 when she was crowned the Dancehall Artiste of the year.
“In 2012, same award category, Shatta this is what you did to me. You almost attacked me but for God, I don’t know what would have happened to me. What is the meaning of that? If you think you deserve that award category, you work at it and earn it. You don’t come throwing tantrums like a baby. Are you a baby? Stonebwoy has won it and if he has won it for the fifth time, hell yeah! work your ass out. You are a jerk,” she fired.
