Ashesi University to hold a 1-day conference to celebrate late Ebony

The Centre for African Popular Culture & the Journal of African Cultural Studies at Ashesi University are organizing a one -day conference in celebration of late music icon, Ebony Reigns.
The conference lead by Professor Joseph Oduro-Frimpong, in collaboration with Dr Carli Coetzee, will discuss the late singer’s impact on socio-political issues in Ghana.
The theme for the conference is ‘Bad Gal’ & ‘Madly Talented’: What’s at Stake in a Nonconformist Public Lifestyle?
The 1-day conference will be held on 22nd August at Ashesi University.
The late Ghanaian female music artist, Ebony Reigns, tragically died on 11th February 2018 in a road accident.
