On May 22, 2018, President AKufo-Addo ordered for the arrest of the President of Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The GFA President has been caught in the investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas engaging in many fraudulent acts. Nyantakyi, among other offences, has been caught on the tape defrauding investors under false pretenses.
He is reported to have taken a large chunk of money from investors in the name of President Akufo-Addo, and the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia, and other high government officials. The order for Nyantakyi’s arrest has filled the Ghanaian media, and many people seem to be rejoicing over it.
YEN.com.gh has sighted an earlier video by Countryman Songo, explaining why Kwesi Nyantakyi should be sacked as President of the GFA. Songo also went on to enumerate some of the offences dubious acts Nyantakyi was undertaking, for which he must be sacked. Interestingly, Songo must be feeling like a prophet by now because almost all the things he mentioned in this video have turned out to be true, according to the “Number 12” video by Anas.
Social media users have also commented on the video, to show how proud they are of Songo, and how disappointed they are in Nyatankyi.
Read some of the comments here: Meanwhile, as at the time the order was issued for his arrest, Kwesi Nyantakyi was not in Ghana.
Information trickling in from credible sources have it that the GFA President has arrived in the country and surrendered himself to the police for investigations to be carried out.
