Over the weekend, Western Region witnessed one of the most attended indoor event – Western Music Awards. This year’s award was sponsored by Rigworld Training Center and also had Anafobisi Clothing making sure most of the performers and audience looking dapper than the usual.

This year had Kofi Kinaata and Dj Magnus of Focus 1 retaining their spots as the Artistes of the year and best Radio Dj respectively. Casta Troy also Won 2 awards on the night whilst Ayesem, the ‘smoke man’ of the night won 4 awards. Bodybeatz couldn’t win an award as Willisbeatz retained his spot once again as the Music Producer of the year. Below are our five best performers for the night.

5. Casta Troy

Ashikwei-Mensah Attram popularly known by his stage name as Casta Troy, was the second art to perform on the night. His introductory act with sensational singer S3kyerewa was a well rehearsed great entry. His control over the mic and his relation with audience definitely placed him at the 5th best performer for the night. He Performed his ‘Get it‘ Song off his ‘Mind Of Picasso‘ EP and surely the song won him 2 best hiphop song and best hiphop artiste for the night.

4. Ayesem

Ayesem also known as the ‘smoke man’ for the night had a great performance even though many couldn’t sit to enjoy it. His opening stage craft which made the already hot auditorium ‘smoky’ nearly brought the show to an end. He was still able to pull through and pulled out a great show. He performed most of his songs using live band and also used both times he came on stage to apologize for his stage craft.

3. Bobo Dada Bee

Bobo Dade Bee stood out as one of the energetic performers for the night. He had almost everyone in the auditorium shouting his name. His outfit for his performance also made him stand out on the night. He couldn’t have left the stage without his default body moves which had the girls scream the loudest.

2. S. K. Frimpong

The only gospel musician who made the list is S.K. Frimpong. He didn’t really have a good start but he was able to have a great performance. He performed back to back which had the entire auditorium dancing to the gospel tunes. He was the best performer for the night till Nero X mounted the stage.

1. Nero X

Undoubtedly everyone’s best performer for the night was Nero X. He only performed just a song from all his songs before he moved to performed songs from our fallen Legends in the region – CK Mann, Papa Yankson and Jewel Ackah. He stole the night when he brought our 4th best performer for the night, Ayesem to do a rap on Jewel Acquah’s Saara .No wonder he had a standing ovation from everyone in the auditorium. Just as the host of ‘Ekosii sen’ Philip Osei Bonsu, said his performance was indeed a 5 star.
