Appietus to produce 100 ‘underground artistes’ for free

Famous Ghanaian music producer, Appiah Dankwa, aka Appietus has declared his intention to record over 100 young up-and-coming Ghanaian artistes who are struggling to produce their works due to financial constrains.

According to the sound engineer, he is embarking on a new project to record, produce and groom 100 talented new artistes for free of charge.
In Browngh.com report, Appietus said he is going to select more than 100 talented ‘underground artistes’ across the ten regions of Ghana and screen them to 100, where he will personally mange the best five among them. “There are so many good musicians in Ghana but financial restrains have stalled their careers. That is why I’m embarking on this project and to give them the opportunity to do what they love best” he said
The sound engineer also added that he is ready with his team and will make his first stop at the Volta Region, but will need support from regional chapters of Musicians’ Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), in order to make his initiative successful. “Recording 100 songs is not easy because it takes a lot of creativity to be versatile.
I have to make sure I don’t repeat beats to make them boring and that is why I have given myself enough time to do a good job,” he said. Appietus gained prominence in Ghana music industry from his signature “Appietus in the mix”, after producing hit beats for some top Ghanaian musicians. He is a force to reckon with in the music industry as he has produced hit songs including ‘Azonto Fiesta’ by Sarkodie, ‘Otoolege’ by Ofori Amponsah, ‘Obaa pa’ by KK Fosu, ‘yesi yesi’ by 4X4 , ‘Menseida’ by Daddy Lumba and many others. Due to his enviable talent, versatility and hard work, he has received many awards both home and abroad.
