In our world today, it is imperative to authenticate stories you read especially on social media for obvious reasons so , when we saw the above post we got in touch with the multiply ward winner, producer extraordinaire also know as the bottle breaker to cross check the story. He confirmed the post is his and in fact he has more to say.

This is what he added “U know how we don’t appreciate what’s ours. But soon as a foreigner sells it back to us we hail it, that’s what I’m condemning .. we frown on our beats, a neighbor picks it and sell it back to us (afrobeats) and we go crazy about it, even when a ghanaian artist sings in his/her local dialect, sometimes some djs suggests to them to go back to studio and fix broken English somewhere in (to sound like naija), yet we hear runtown and co using our dialects in their songs (obaasima, waakye, jollof etc)..
And now they’ve remixed one of our biggest hiplife classic songs Ahomka womu… Just wait and see how our people will go crazy about it.. don’t u think something is wrong with our people?

Naija been studying for a long time and they still are bro
They respect our music a lot, they only people who don’t regard our music is our people”

It is important to note that before JQ’s post, Wizkid had twitted to the fact that the track titled “Manya” by Mut4y & himself was inspired by “Ahomka womu” a track produced by JQ for VIP back in the day.

For many people it is timing of this revelation that is really interesting and intriguing, considering the ongoing Shatta Wale Vrs Wizkid / GH Vrs Naija beef on social media.
