Naseeb Abdul Juma (born 2 October 1989), popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz (or simply Diamond) is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist and dancer from Tanzania. He is best known for his hit song “Number One” which he featured Nigerian artiste Davido.

Everything seem to be going well for him in the East African countries until 7th November 2017 when he was served a letter from Maxim Advocates lawyers of Msondo Ngoma Music Band also from Tanzania demanding 300,000,000 shillings equivalent to 150,000USD and a notice of intention to sue.

The plaintiff lawyers claim that a sax melody played in a song Diamond released on 25th August 2017 titled “Ziipendwa” is a typical identical to a melody created and played by Msondo Ngoma band in their song “Ajari”. According to the lawyers of the plaintiff, copying melodies created and played by their client with out his consent is a serious copy right infringement.

They went on further to say that “Ziipenda”, Diamonds song, made so much money because of the Sax melody he copied from their client hence their demand.
